About Us

Modevation Enterprises is a privately owned corporation that was established in 2003 to develop and market speed control enhancement systems for electric trolling motors. Our goal is to produce quality, affordable products, that greatly enhance your fishing experiences.

We are avid fishing enthusiasts. Through many hours spent on the water struggling with boat control in varying wind and water conditions, we identified a need for better boat control when using bow-mounted trolling motors. Thus the idea for Two Throttles and the Re-Action® System was born.

The original Re-Action® System prototypes were retrofitted radio control (cordless) models that were developed in 2002. After 2 years of extensive on-water testing, the 'docking station' concept of the Re-Action® System was developed and produced. In early 2005, the Re-Action® System docking station model, was introduced to the sport fishing market and received excellent reviews by sport fishing enthusiasts. The Re-Action® System docking station was awarded the 2006 Best Canadian Product award from Outdoor Canada magazine and in 2007, received the North American Fisherman Seal of Approval for tested products.

Due to demands from the sport fishing community, in January of 2006, the line of Re-Action® System models was extended to include trolling motor Upgrades for cable steer models and digital electric steer models. The Re-Action® System Upgrades are performed at authorized Re-Action® System service centers in the United States and Canada (see dealer/retro-fit center page). Due to mounting requests from fishing enthusiasts all over North America, more authorized service centers are in the process of being trained and will be open in the very near future. Currently, Modevation Enterprises Inc. produces 8 models of Re-Action System Upgrades. Research and development on the Re-Action® System saltwater series and models for the newest types of electric steer trolling motors is under way.
